			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<b>SHAWNEE, Okla.</b> (November 5, 2011)&nbsp;- The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals cross country team concluded their running season with an eighth place finish at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships.

Amanda Lopez led LCU with a 30<sup>th</sup> place finish with a time of 20:36. Kirsti Whipple (32<sup>nd</sup>, 20:42) and Tashah Overbo (39<sup>th</sup>, 21:05) were within thirty seconds of finishing behind Lopez to finish in the top-40 for the Lady Chaps.&nbsp; Also competing for LCU was Allix Hardin (52nd, 22:37), Kayla Ingraham (55<sup>th</sup>, 22:52) and Erin Bailey (61<sup>st</sup>, 23:32).

Brenda Felipe of Rogers State University won the event with a time of 18:38 to top the field of 76 runners.&nbsp; LCU averaged a finish of 21:34 in the race to finish eighth.&nbsp; Wayland Baptist University won the team event in an average time of 19:21 and four runners finishing in the top six spots.]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<b>WINFIELD, Kan.</b><b></b> (October 22, 2011)&nbsp;- The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals finished in 16<sup>th</sup> place competing in the NAIA Mid-States Classic hosted by Southwestern College.

LCU had three of their six runners finish in the top-100 of the event.&nbsp; Amanda Lopez led LCU with a time of 20:17 for 58<sup>th</sup> place finish.&nbsp; She was followed by Kirstie Whipple (20:55, 78<sup>th</sup>) and Tashah Overbo (21:17, 92<sup>nd</sup>).&nbsp; Also competing for the Lady Chaps in the 5k run were Allix Hardin (22:08, 114<sup>th</sup>), Kayla Ingraham (22:17, 119<sup>th</sup>) and Erin Bailey (23:09, 136<sup>th</sup>).

The Lady Chaps average completion time was 21:23 and LCU finished 16th among the 20 teams competing.&nbsp; Wayland Baptist University won the team event with an average finishing time of 19:20.&nbsp; Obsie Birru of Grand View topped the field of 170 runners with a time of 17:30.]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<b>LEVELLAND, Texas </b>(October 10, 2011)&nbsp;- Lubbock Christian University finished in third place at the South Plains College Collegiate Cross Country Festival, with their top finish coming from a 13<sup>th</sup> place finish by Kirstie Whipple in the women's cross country event.

Whipple completed the race in a time of 20:37.&nbsp; Amanda Lopez was not far behind with a 15<sup>th</sup> place finish at 20:44. Tashad Overbo (21:05, 17<sup>th</sup>), Allix Hardin (21:58, 18<sup>th</sup>) and Kayla Ingraham (22:07, 19th) all finished in order.&nbsp; Also competing for LCU was Erin Bailey, who finished 23<sup>rd</sup> with a mark of 23:38.

The Lady Chaps average completion time was 21:18 to finish third in the team standings.&nbsp; SPC won the event averaging a completion time of 19:00. Darroneshia Lott of SPC won the individual title with a finish of 18:02.]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<b>STILLWATER, Okla.</b> (October 2, 2011)&nbsp;- The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals cross country team competed in the 75<sup>th</sup> Annual Cowboy Jamboree hosted by Oklahoma State University and the Lady Chaps finished in 23<sup>rd</sup> place out of 32 teams in the college division.

Amanda Lopez had the top finish for the Lady Chaps, as she finished in 104<sup>th</sup> with a time of 21:05.&nbsp; The Lady Chaps were packed together, as Kirstie Whipple (115<sup>th</sup>, 21:26) and Tashah Overbo (118<sup>th</sup>, 21:27) finished less than a second apart from each ther and less than 30 seconds behind Lopez.&nbsp; Allix Hardin was not too far behind them, as she finished 165<sup>th</sup> with a time of 22:58.&nbsp; Also running with the Lady Chaps was Kayla Ingraham (172, 23:09) and Erin Bailey (179<sup>th</sup>, 23:37).

LCU finished in 23<sup>rd</sup> with an average completion time of 22:01.&nbsp; Friends University completed a solid finish to win the event, as they had four runners finish in the top six, with Jordan Arnold winning the event with a time of 18:11 among the field of 264 runners.&nbsp; Friends averaged a finishing time of 18:47.

Amanda Lopez was the top finisher for the Lady Chaps, finishing in 25<sup>th</sup> place with a time of 21:27.&nbsp; Tasha Overbo was 20 seconds behind Lopez and finished in 31<sup>st</sup> place.&nbsp; Kirstie Whipple also finished in the top-40 with a time of 22:32 for 37<sup>th</sup> place. Also competing for LCU was Kayla Ingraham (23:20, 42<sup>nd</sup>), Allix Hardin (23:25, 45<sup>th</sup>) and Erin Bailey (24:11, 55<sup>th</sup>).

Brook Klimek of University of Central Oklahoma won the event in a time of 19:20.&nbsp; UCO won the team event as well with three runners finishing in the top six spots.&nbsp; LCU finished seventh of the eight teams and fourth out of the five Sooner Athletic Conference squads competing.]]></content:encoded>

Amanda Lopez was the leading runner for LCU with a time of 26:05 to finish in 10<sup>th</sup> place.&nbsp; Four LCU runners finished in the top-20, as Kirstie Whipple (26:51, 13<sup>th</sup>), Tashah Overbo (26:56, 14<sup>th</sup>) and Kayla Ingraham (27:48, 18<sup>th</sup>) joined Lopez in the top-20.&nbsp; Also running for LCU was Allix Hardin (28:38, 26<sup>th</sup>) and Erin Bailey (30:23, 27<sup>th</sup>).

The field was composed of 32 runners representing six schools, with four teams competing in team point standings.&nbsp; McMurry won the 6k event with an average time of 25:24, with Aisisha Guerra winning the event in a time of 24:21. LCU will next run Friday at the Texas Tech Invitational at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Lubbock.

<p class="align-justify">It was a tough field for the Lady Chaps, as Petersburg native Britney Shedd was the lone LCU finisher in the top-100.&nbsp; Shedd finished in 91st place in a time of 21:22. Britney Shedd was LCU’s top finisher.&nbsp; She competed the 5k run in a time of 21:45 for a 38<sup>th</sup> place finish.&nbsp; Kirstie Whipple (22:31, 46<sup>th</sup>) and Val Calderon (22:53, 49<sup>th</sup>) also finished in the top-50 for LCU.

The Lady Chaps produced two top-ten finishers, as Kirstie Whipple matched her finish from last season’s race finishing fifth (22:29) and Britney Shed finished 24 seconds behind Whipple in seventh place (22:53).&nbsp; Also finishing in the top-20 for LCU was Val Calderon, who finished 18<sup>th</sup> with a time of 24:30 in the 4k competition.
