OKLAHOMA CITY (May 6, 2011) – The No.6 Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals went 2-1 in the opening day of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament, winning a pair of one-run games before falling in a one-run game.  LCU defeated St. Gregory’s University 6-5 and Southern Nazarene 8-7, but fell to No.11 Oklahoma City University 2-1.

LUBBOCK, Texas (May 4, 2011) – Ryan Burnaman became the first player in Lubbock Christian University program history to have a pair of triples in a game twice, as his pair of triples Wednesday in pool play of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament against Mid-America Christian capped a 4-for-5 performance and led the No.9 Chaparrals to an 18-5 victory at Hays Field.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 4, 2011) – Kim Frazier of Lubbock Christian University has been named the NAIA National Softball Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Frazier was the final honoree of the 2011 season. She was chosen, based on their performances from April 25 – May 1, out of a pool of conference player of the week selections among 24 conference/independent/unaffiliated groupings.
