OKLAHOMA CITY (May 9, 2011) - Oklahoma City pitcher Lily LaVelle heads the 2011 All-Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Team as both Pitcher and Player of the Year.  Lubbock Christian University was represented with five players claiming First Team All-SAC honors, including Freshman of the Year Meagan Navarrette.

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 7, 2011) – The No.6 Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals climbed into the winner-take-all championship game of the Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Tournament with an 8-1 win over Oklahoma Christian University and a 4-2 win over No.11 Oklahoma City University, but they were unable to claim their first SAC Tournament title.  Oklahoma City tallied three runs in the seventh inning to win the tournament with an 8-6 victory over the Lady Chaps late Saturday night at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.
