Live Video Streaming Passports On Sale

LUBBOCK, Texas (August 20, 2010) – The Lubbock Christian University Athletic Department is announcing the availability of live video streaming for all home games and select road games of the inaugural men’s and women’s soccer season.  Live video streaming is also available for all home matches and select road matches of LCU volleyball.  In addition, season passports for each of the three programs are currently on sale via www.LCUchaps.com.

Live video streaming is made possible through a partnership with Stretch Internet.  LCU debuted live video streaming last year and expanded their role this season with the addition of the two LCU soccer programs.  Along with the expanded coverage, LCU will add several new features to this season’s live video streaming through Stretch Internet. GameCentral is a new feature allowing individuals to view the games along with having access to live scoring and interactive chat features with Twitter and Facebook integration.  Also new this season is the compatibility of live video streaming with iPhone, iPad and iPod products.

Individual game live video stream broadcasts are available for $5 per event, and season passports are available for each sport.  Men’s soccer tentatively has scheduled seven games to be broadcasted, and a season passport for $29 will cover all seven games along with any additional regular season and postseason games added.  Women’s soccer season passports are also $29 and they are scheduled for at least eight broadcasts. Volleyball season passes are $39 with at least nine matches scheduled for broadcast.  Passport subscribers will not have to pay for any additional games added by the LCU Athletic Department.

Jon Arnold will handle the play-by-play duties for all home soccer games video streamed, with an audio-only simulcast available online for free.  Volleyball matches will be video-only this season.  Another feature continuing with Stretch Internet this season is eScores, which allows subscribers to have final scores of LCU events received via email and/or text message.
