Lady Chaps Finish In 16th

WINFIELD, Kan. (October 22, 2011) - The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals finished in 16^th place competing in the NAIA Mid-States Classic hosted by Southwestern College.

LCU had three of their six runners finish in the top-100 of the event.  Amanda Lopez led LCU with a time of 20:17 for 58^th place finish.  She was followed by Kirstie Whipple (20:55, 78^th) and Tashah Overbo (21:17, 92^nd).  Also competing for the Lady Chaps in the 5k run were Allix Hardin (22:08, 114^th), Kayla Ingraham (22:17, 119^th) and Erin Bailey (23:09, 136^th).

The Lady Chaps average completion time was 21:23 and LCU finished 16th among the 20 teams competing.  Wayland Baptist University won the team event with an average finishing time of 19:20.  Obsie Birru of Grand View topped the field of 170 runners with a time of 17:30.
