LCU Falls To Ranked OBU

SHAWNEE, Okla. (October 28, 2011) - Jordan Goings produced a double-double and Brittany Johnson led Lubbock Christian University with 11 kills, but No.21 Oklahoma Baptist University defeated LCU 3-0 (25-17, 25-23,25-19) Friday night in Sooner Athletic Conference play.

LCU had a 6-3 lead in the opening set, a 5-1 in the second set and an 8-3 lead in the final set, but ended up losing all three sets.  Goings finished with her tenth double-double of the season, as she posted 34 assists and 16 digs.  Kristin Pressley of OBU had an impressive double-double herself with 20 kills and 21 digs.  Teammate Sabra Clark posted 41 assists.  Johnson had 11 kills and Caitlin Kender had 10 kills in the losing cause for LCU.

The Lady Chaps loss places them with a 7-4 conference mark and a 19-7 overall record.  The Lady Bison remain perfect in SAC play with an 11-0 mark and are 25-10 overall.  LCU remains in Shawnee Saturday and will face St. Gregory's at 11 a.m.
