Goings Now Five-Time Recipient

OKLAHOMA CITY (October 3, 2011) – The Sooner Athletic Conference announced their weekly volleyball honors and for a third consecutive week and for the fifth time this season Lubbock Christian University setter Jordan Goings has received SAC Setter of the Week honors.

Goings, a senior from Aledo, Texas, led LCU to a 1-1 week and they took No.20 Oklahoma Baptist to five sets, losing the fifth set 15-13. She had her third highest career tally in assists with 60 and a career high in digs with 25 in the match against OBU. Goings had back-to-back double-doubles in assists and digs in both matches and averaged 11.9 assists and five digs per set. She also led the team on the week with three aces.

LCU is 14-3 on the season and they play their next four games on the road.  They have three matches this week beginning with a trip Tuesday to University of the Southwest in Hobbs, N.M.
