Goings Claims All-American Honors

LUBBOCK, Texas (December 6, 2011) - Setter Jordan Goings earned a series of postseason honors, claiming NAIA All-American honors and American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American and All-Region accolades.
She became the fourth player in program history to claim at least three NAIA All-American honors and the first since Mandy Moffitt claimed four NAIA All-American honors from 2001-2004. Goings closed out her LCU career with 3,892 assists, which ranks fourth all-time in LCU program history. The Aledo, Texas native had 1,054 assists this season, surpassing 1,000 assists for a third consecutive season, and she ranked 14th in the NAIA with 10.8 assists per game.
The AVCA endorses the NAIA All-American honors and Goings was part of the 2010 and 2009 honorees list. She claimed Third Team honors in 2009 and was Honorable Mention the past two seasons. Goings becomes the 22nd All-American in the LCU volleyball program and the seventh under head coach Jennifer Lawrence, who has coached at LCU since 2004.
