Chaps Clinch SAC Tourney Berth

OKLAHOMA CITY (October 27, 2011) - Tim Saucedo, making his first career start in goal, stopped all five shots on goal by Oklahoma Christian University and the Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals clinched their first berth into the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament with a 2-0 win Thursday night.

Billy Forbes scored his 20^th goal of the season and it came in the 20^th minute with Adam Goodnight assisting on the goal.  Just over 10 minutes later, Forbes set up Jorge Martinez on a goal for a 2-0 lead.

Oklahoma Christian had a 21-16 shot advantage and had a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal.  LCU improved to 5-2-2 in SAC play and 11-3-3 overall. The Eagles fell to 3-4-2 in the SAC and 7-5-4 overall.  LCU returns home for their final match of the regular season, hosting Wayland Baptist University Tuesday at 3 p.m.
