By: Chris Due

LUBBOCK, Texas (February 2, 2010) – This past Friday, Lubbock Christian University cross country head coach Clyde Neff received a solid commitment to his men’s cross country program with the signing of Kermit High School’s Trey Bale.

Bale completed his high school cross country career with a third place finish at the UIL Class 2A State Championships.  He completed the run in a time of 16:34.  Bale was part of a Kermit program that finished fourth in 2007, second in 2008 and in third this past season at the UIL Class 2A State Championships.   He has also been successful running on the track.  A fifth place finish in the 3,200-meter race as a sophomore and a fourth place finish in the 1,600-meter race as a junior in the UIL Class 2A State Championships has Bale focused on ending his senior year in style.

The Chaps finished the 2009 season qualifying two runners for the NAIA National Championships.
