Chaps to Face D-I UL-Monroe

LUBBOCK, Texas (September 27, 2011) - The Todd Duncan era at Lubbock Christian University begins Oct. 31st, as the Chaparrals basketball team tips off their season at Texas College.
The Chaps get a high profile game right off the bat, as they will play an exhibition game at NCAA Div. I University of Louisiana at Monroe on Tuesday Nov. 1st at 7 p.m. inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The home opener inside Rip Griffin Center is scheduled for Nov. 5th with University of Texas - Permian Basin facing the Chaps at 6 p.m. Sooner Athletic Conference play will occupy 22 of the 29 regular season dates, with the conference opener scheduled for December 1st at John Brown University. LCU will play their first five conference games on the road. The Chaps have 14 regular season games scheduled at home.
The Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament will be hosted by John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. from March 1 - 3rd with the top eight conference teams qualifying. The Chaps top goal is to make it to the Buffalo Funds NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Championship for the first time since 2005 and it is scheduled from March 14-20th in Kansas City, Mo.
