LUBBOCK, Texas (January 31, 2010) – The Lubbock Christian University Athletic Department has announced that season passes for online video webcasts of LCU baseball are now on sale through the LCU official athletics website (www.lcuchaps.com).
This season marks the first season video services have been made available for Lubbock Christian University baseball. Video webcast services of LCU athletics began this school term and became available with a partnership with Stretch Internet (www.stretchinternet.com). The marquee feature of LCU baseball webcasts will be the quality of a single-camera broadcast via a partnership with All Star Video Sports, who markets a product called SportCam. The SportCam Game Action Video System, which received “Best of Show” honors at the 2009 American Baseball Coaches Association convention, is the first and only baseball/softball game action camera system on the market. The portable system features a mobile camera which is connected to a control panel with a touchscreen menu, making the operation easy for a single individual. Additional information on the SportCam system is available through www.sportcamtv.com.
Individual game purchases for video webcasts are $5. Season passports for baseball allow individuals to watch an entire season’s worth of webcasts for a discounted rate of $39. There is a guarantee of 18 games on this season baseball webcast schedule, with the strong possibility of additional games being added as the season progresses. Audio broadcasts will also be made available at www.lcuchaps.com and will remain free of charge.
The defending NAIA National Champion Chaparrals open their season Friday in Grand Prairie facing Northwood University at Quicktrip Park. Their first home game is scheduled for February 13th hosting Lindenwood University.
