Ducks Get Goosed

LUBBOCK, Texas (October 30, 2011) - The Red Ducks collected a run in the seventh inning, but left the tying run stranded, as the Blue Skunks took a 2-1 series advantage in the best-of-five Ducks/Skunks Series with a 2-1 victory Sunday.  The Ducks/Skunks series is in the 49^th season and it serves as the Lubbock Christian University fall baseball intrasquad series.

The Skunks scored in the second inning with Jason Fisch scoring on a single by Paul Prestera and Fisch put the Skunks up 2-0 with an RBI single in the fourth inning. Ryan Burnaman collected the save, but did allow a run on a Brent Leslie single in the top of the seventh inning. Lester Lugo claimed the win on the hill allowing three hits in five innings of work.

The Skunks can close out the series Tuesday at 6 p.m., as the two teams play game four of the series.
