Season Opener Pushed One Day

LUBBOCK, Texas (February 3, 2010) – The Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals baseball team will have to wait another day to defend their 2009 NAIA National Title, as their season opening weekend of games in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex have been pushed a day due to inclement weather.

The Chaps will now play a noon doubleheader Saturday against Northwood University at Quicktrip Park in Grand Prairie and will close the weekend Sunday with a noon doubleheader against Texas Wesleyan University at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth.

Despite the changes, all four games will air online via www.lcuchaps.com.  Whites Ward of KCLE radio in Burleson/Cleburne will have the call on Saturday and DFW veteran sports and news reporter Charlie Hodges will have the call Sunday.
