LUBBOCK, Texas (November 28, 2011) - A pair of players from last season's Lubbock Christian University men's basketball squad have taken their talents to the next level, as Kenny Hewitt and Russ Permenter are teammates competing for the American Basketball Association’s Dallas Impact.

LUBBOCK, Texas (November 26, 2011) - All five Chaparrals starters posted double figures offensively and 21 points by Rashad Sample led Lubbock Christian University to their first win over a ranked team with head coach Todd Duncan at the helm, as the Chaps defeated No.10 Texas Wesleyan University 89-80 Saturday afternoon inside Rip Griffin Center.  The win was the final preconference contest for LCU and its keeps them perfect (3-0) at home on the season.

FORT WORTH, Texas (November 21, 2011) - No.10 Texas Wesleyan University was held without a field goal for the final 5:47 and Lubbock Christian University came close to overcoming a 69-60 deficit with 1:27 remaining, as the Rams and a 40-point performance from Ronnie Moss was able to avoid the upset with a 74-72 win over the Chaparrals at Sid Richardson Center Monday night.  The meeting was the first meeting between the two Texas based NAIA programs since 1987.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (November 19, 2011) - Less than 18 hours following a school record 36 turnovers in Friday's loss to Our Lady of the Lake University, Lubbock Christian University committed a season-low 12 turnovers and used a career-best 12 points from Aaron Plunkett to defeat University of St. Thomas 64-49 to close their play in the 2011 Halo Classic.
