LUBBOCK, Texas (January 21, 2012) - Make it four consecutive games in which the Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals have had a game decided at the final horn or in overtime, as Douglas Williams was unable to hit a three-point shot with 0.2 seconds remaining in regulation and John Brown University, who led by 15 points in the second half, survived for an 83-80 win over the Chaps Saturday afternoon in Sooner Athletic Conference action at Rip Griffin Center.

LUBBOCK, Texas (January 19, 2012) - Make it seven consecutive games in which a contest between Lubbock Christian University and Rogers State University was decided by single digits, and this one needed overtime to decide the outcome.  Rashad Sample produced a double-double with 19 points and 12 assists and LCU upset No.5 Rogers State 92-87 in Sooner Athletic Conference action inside Rip Griffin Center Thursday night.

OKLAHOMA CITY (January 16, 2012) - The Sooner Athletic Conference announced their Player of the Week honors and Lubbock Christian University guard Rashad Sample was selected as the Men's Player of the Week for Jan. 9-15.

OKLAHOMA CITY (January 14, 2012) - For a second consecutive game, Lubbock Christian University had a game come down to the final horn, but this outcome did not match their Thursday night victory at Oklahoma City University as time expired.  Receiving a rebound off a free-throw miss with four seconds remaining, Lubbock Christian University was unable to push the ball up the floor for a final shot, as Mid-America Christian survived with a 90-88 win over the Chaps Saturday afternoon in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
