LUBBOCK, Texas (August 25, 2009) - Lubbock Christian University softball head coach Larry Hays announced that Lubbock Christian High School’s Kalee Robinson has signed with the Lady Chaparrals softball program.  She is the first student-athlete to officially sign since Hays took over the LCU softball helm, and she marks the first recruit for the 2010-2011 school term. The signing was conducted at Lubbock Christian High School with friends, family and student body in attendance.

LUBBOCK, Texas (July 9, 2009) - Larry Hays has served as a men’s and women’s basketball head coach and a baseball head coach at Lubbock Christian University, and Thursday, Lubbock Christian University President Dr. Ken L. Jones introduced Hays as the new head softball coach at a press conference held inside the Bozeman Room on the LCU campus.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their Louisville Slugger/NFCA NAIA All-Region and All-America teams, and the Lady Chaps were well represented. Ginalee Davis, Kelly Griego and Raquel Hawkins received First Team All-America honors, Alyssa Gutierrez and Honda Rodriguez received Second Team All-America accolades. Each were also selected as First Team All-Region recipients, along with Sabrina Hernandez.

Monday, his son, Shanon Hays, announced he is resigning as the head coach of the Lubbock Christian University softball program to accept the softball head coaching position at Texas Tech University.
