LUBBOCK, Texas (November 6, 2009) - Oklahoma Baptist University covered the cross country course at Chaparral Ridge Golf Course with a team time of 1:37.49 to claim the Sooner Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country title Friday. Host Lubbock Christian University finished third in the race.

OBU finished with 46 points to hold off Oklahoma Christian with 61 and Lubbock Christian with 71.... Full Story


RESULTS

WINFIELD, Kan. (October 24, 2009) - Brittani Sigle led the Lubbock Christian University women’s cross country team to a sixth place finish by finishing 11th in the 22-team filled NAIA Mid States Classic hosted by Southwestern College.

Sigle completed the race amongst a pack of eight runners that finished within ten seconds apart. Her finishing time in the 5k event was 19:22. Also in the pack was Melissa Zepeda, who finished 17th with a time of 19:31.... Full Story

 
RESULTS

LEVELLAND, Texas (October 10, 2009) - The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals Cross Country program finished third Saturday morning at the South Plains College Cross Country Festival.

Pack style running benefitted the Lady Chaps third place finish, with Britani Sigle leading the way on the 5k layout. Sigle finished 11th with a time of 18:45. Melissa Zepeda (18:53) and Kirstie Whipple (18:55), seperated by two seconds, crossed the tape for 13th and 14th place.... Full Story

LUBBOCK, Texas (September 19, 2009) – The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals women’s cross country team competed in the Texas Tech Open Friday evening at Meadowbrook Golf Course and finished in fourth place.

The Lady Chaps completed the 5k event with an average runner completion of 21:16, with an average that was 26 seconds behind third place South Plains University and 37 seconds ahead of New Mexico Highlands University.... Full Story

ABILENE, Texas (September 12, 2009) - The Lubbock Christian University women’s cross country program matched the LCU men’s cross country performance at the McMurry University Invitational Saturday by claiming first place to win the meet at soggy Nelson Park.

Six of the eight Lady Chaps runners finished in the top-11 of the 34-runner field. LCU’s Val Calderon finished eight seconds behind University of Dallas’ Angela Cuba for second place with a time of 25:19 in the 6k event.... Full Story
