LUBBOCK, Texas (November 19, 2009) - The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals basketball team has joined LCU student organization Omega Chi Chi to host a Teddy Bear Drive for the Lady Chaps home game on November 30th against Wayland Baptist University to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains.

The Lady Chaps are encouraging all fans attending the November 30th Sooner Athletic Conference contest to bring a new and unused stuffed animal (with tag attached), which will be donated to the Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains.... Full Story

PLAINVIEW, Texas (November 16, 2009) – Brittany Hampton and Ashley Coggins combined for 28 of their 41 total points in the second half to spark a 49-31 second half performance and lead No.19 Lubbock Christian University to a 79-71 victory over Wayland Baptist University Monday night inside Hutcherson Center to open Sooner Athletic Conference play. Lubbock Christian is now 4-1 on the season and they open up conference play with a 1-0 start.

LUBBOCK, Texas (November 13, 2009) - The No.19 Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals shot a program single-game record 62.7% from the field (37-of-59) and had atleast five different players in double-figures in points for a third consecutive game, as LCU rolled to a 97-67 victory over Our Lady of the Lake University Friday night at Rip Griffin Center.

The Lady Chaps only missed 11 two-point field goal attempts in the game, as they were 30-of-43 (69.8%) inside the perimeter. The inside pressence helped the Lady Chaps out-score the Saints 52-28 in the paint. LCU also out-scored the Saints 22-4 in fastbreak points.... Full Story
