Blandon is serving in his first season with the Chaps coaching staff after spending the past two seasons at O'Donnell High School, where he served as head baseball coach.  He returns to LCU, where he was a student-athlete and played a vital role in helping the 2006 Chaparrals reach the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.  The Tahoka High School product began his college playing career at Navarro Junior College in 2003 before transferring to Midland College, where he was an all-conference member in 2004.  He spent the 2005 and 2006 season with LCU.  Along with a trip to the NAIA World Series, Blandon made a trip to the 2006 NBC World Series with the Alaska based Peninsula Oilers.  The Sul Ross graduate is married to Kelsey and they have two children: Bransen (2), Briley (newborn).
