LEWISTON, Idaho (June 3, 2011) – Blake Harrison pitched a complete game and held Lubbock Christian University to six hits, as he led Concordia University (Calif.) to their first NAIA national title with a 9-3 win over the Chaparrals Friday night in the championship game of the 2011 Avista NAIA World Series at Harris Field.

LEWISTON, Idaho (June 3, 2011) – Austin Stewart went 3-for-4 with four runs-batted-in and hit his first home run of the season to help LCU score 10 unanswered runs and eliminate Lee University (Tenn.) 10-2 to advance to Friday night’s 9 p.m. (CDT) championship game of the 2011 Avista NAIA World Series.

LEWISTON, Idaho (June 2, 2011) – Lubbock Christian University was involved in another pitcher’s duel at the 2011 Avista NAIA World Series, but this time they would be unable to end up on the winning side.  Lee University (Tenn.) starting pitcher Shay Crawford pitched a complete game one-hit shutout and the No.5-seeded Flames defeated No.6-seeded Lubbock Christian University 1-0 Wednesday night at Harris Field.  The two teams will meet again Thursday night at 9 p.m. (CDT) in an elimination game and the winning team will face Concordia University (Calif.) Friday night in the championship game.

LEWISTON, Idaho (May 31, 2011) – Mike Marshall may have completed one of the best pitching performances in the history of Lubbock Christian University Tuesday night at the 2011 Avista NAIA World Series.  Marshall, pitching with a broken foot and only expected to last a few innings, ended up throwing a three-hit complete game shutout and led the Chaparrals to a 3-0 victory over Louisiana State University – Shreveport in the winner’s bracket final at Harris Field.
