KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Championship Central) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the 46 qualifiers for the 2010 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round, which will be played May 18-21 at nine different sites.  Each site will feature a five-team double elimination tournament. The pairings of the National Championship Opening Round tournaments will be announced by 5 p.m. CDT on Friday.

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 13, 2010) – It was strictly for bragging rights in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament championship game Thursday at Oklahoma City University’s Jim Wade Stadium.  Both No.5 Lubbock Christian University and No.6 Oklahoma City University are hosting NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round tournaments Tuesday, so Thursday’s play was strictly one last chance to play games that had no meaning.  Oklahoma City<city w:st="on"><place w:st="on"></place></city> was able to defeat Lubbock Christian twice, winning 2-1 and 14-4 to claim their first SAC Tournament title since 2007.

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 12, 2010) – Paul Gonzalez struck out ten batters and came an out away of a complete game, as No.5 Lubbock Christian University dodged a three-run rally in the ninth to edge No.7 Oklahoma City University 12-11 and move into the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament championship game scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m.

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 11, 2010) – Frank Corolla allowed a pair of earned runs over 7 1/3 innings to help No.5 Lubbock Christian University eliminate Wayland Baptist University from the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament with an 8-3 win Tuesday afternoon at Jim Wade Stadium on the campus of Oklahoma City University.
