LUBBOCK, Texas (December 16, 2011) - Lubbock Christian University head baseball coach Nathan Blackwood has announced Jeff Steele has resigned as pitching coach to accept a position with University of Central Oklahoma, and Matt Gardner will join the LCU staff and serve as the new Chaparrals pitching coach.

LUBBOCK, Texas (November 29, 2011) - The Lubbock Christian University baseball program and head coach Nathan Blackwood have finalized their 2012 schedule, which has the Chaparrals opening their 2012 campaign Feb. 3,  2011 in Cedar Hill, Texas against Northwood University (Texas).

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Oklahoma City topped the 2011 - 12 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday. The Stars, who finished their 2011 campaign with a record of 47-12 and an appearance at the Avista-NAIA World Series, were awarded four first-place votes for 481 points. It is earn their 28th No. 1-ranking since the 2000 season.

LUBBOCK, Texas (November 13, 2011) - It may have been a hard decision for Midland Lee High School product Mick Limon, who is the younger brother of Wayland Baptist University NAIA All-American Marcus Limon and the son of former Lubbock Christian University baseball player Hector Limon.  Mick chose to follow in his father's footsteps and he signed with the Chaparrals to become a student-athlete beginning with the 2012-2013 school term.
