PLAINVIEW, Texas (May 6, 2010) – The No.5 Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals claimed their third consecutive Sooner Athletic Conference regular season title Thursday with an 18-8 win over rival Wayland Baptist University at Wilder Field.  The win evens the three-game SAC series, with the rubber game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday at Hays Field.

LUBBOCK, Texas (May 4, 2010) – Three days following a 9-5 win on the road at No.8 Oklahoma City University, the Wayland Baptist Pioneers picked up another road win over a ranked NAIA squad, as the Pioneers opened a Sooner Athletic Conference series with an 18-5 win over No.5 Lubbock Christian University Tuesday night for their most lopsided victory among the 80 all-time meetings between the two rivals.  The loss ended LCU’s season high 13-game win streak.

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 3, 2010) - Lubbock Christian University right fielder J.J. Muse and Northwestern Oklahoma State University pitcher Calvin Wright have been named Sooner Athletic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week for April 26-May 2.

BETHANY, Okla. (April 30, 2010) – Lubbock Christian University set a program single-game record with nine home runs, as the No.6 Chaparrals extended their win streak to 13 games by completing a Sooner Athletic Conference three-game sweep over Southern Nazarene University with a 27-16 win Friday afternoon at Cypert Athletic Complex. The two teams combined for 15 home runs in the game and the nine for the Chaps gave them 18 for the series.
