LUBBOCK, Texas (November 12, 2013) – Lubbock Christian enters its final week of the 2013 season, beginning with #6 West Texas A&M at 6:30 p.m. tonight at The Rip Griffin Center. The Lady Chaps then host St. Edward's Thursday at 7 p.m. and conclude the season on Saturday against McMurry at noon.

The Lady Chaps split two matches last week, both in five sets, losing to Eastern New Mexico on November 5 and defeating UT-Permian Basin on November 7. Kacey Deterding totaled a career-high 27 kills for LCU, Abby White added a dozen, Erin Fisher handed out 55 assists and Tyler Webster logged 17 digs, but the team committed 43 attack errors in the loss to the Zias.  In the win against the Falcons, six career-highs were established. Tyler Webster and Ariel Froeschl recorded new personal bests in kills with 18 and 12, respectively, while Erin Fisher tallied a new total in assists with 66, and Kacey Deterding, Fisher and Webster all set new highs in digs with 28, 23 and 22, respectively.

The three matches this week mark the end of the 2013 for the Lady Chaps. Even though LCU currently sits in second place in the Heartland Conference, in which the top four teams advance to the conference tournament, the Lady Chaps are not eligible for post-season play due to the NCAA transitional period.
