LUBBOCK, Texas (November 8, 2013) – The Heartland Conference announced their All-Conference honors for women's soccer and four individuals of Lubbock Christian University were recognized for their on-field efforts. Second Team honors were issued to Jessica Barrera, Emily Odom and Brooke Wendl and Third Team accolades went to Priscilla Brannon.

Barrera is a sophomore from Lubbock, Texas and local product out of Monterey High School. The midfielder was strong at defense and helped an LCU program which ranked third in the Heartland Conference in goals against average (1.23). Offensively, Barrera had one goal on eight shots on goal in 17 games played.

Odom led LCU in points during conference play with nine off a trio of goals and assists. Overall on the season, the sophomore forward from Keller, Texas co-led LCU with five goals and also added three assists for 13 points. She ranked second on the team in points with 13 in 16 games.

Wendl, a sophomore forward from Plano, Texas, led LCU in points this season with 14 in 15 games played. She co-led in goals (5) and assists (4) on the season. She ranked third in shots per game (3.4) and sixth in shots (51) in the conference.

Brannon is a senior departing the team after playing in every game in program history. The midfielder from Athens, Texas produced two goals and three assists for seven points in 17 games.
Missing out on the All-Conference squads were Jaime Boone and goalkeeper Lauren Story.  Boone, a freshman from Belton, Texas, led the conference in game winning goals (4), while also ranking third in the Heartland Conference in shots (53) and fourth in shots per game (3.3). Story set the program single season and career program marks for shutouts with seven this season (second in the conference). The Wylie, Texas native also ranked fourth in the conference with a 1.23 goals against average.

LCU women's soccer finished the season 10-7 overall and finished third in the Heartland Conference with a 7-2 record.
