LUBBOCK, Texas (October 27, 2013) – The Red Skunks used a seven-run rally in the seventh inning to overcome a 9-1 deficit and defeat the Blue Ducks 10-9 in Game Three to claim the Lubbock Christian University annual baseball "Ducks & Skunks" best-of-three series at Hays Field.

Trailing 9-3 in the top of the seventh inning, the Skunks sent 11 batters to the plate and produced seven runs off seven hits. Wade Stramp went 2-for-2 in the inning alone and his second hit of the inning was a bases clearing bases loaded triple with two outs to give the Skunks the eventual lead.

The Blue Ducks led 9-1 in the fifth inning after they sent 13 batters to the plate and scored eight runs off five hits in the inning.  Ryan Taylor and Dalton Silva each drove in a pair of runs in the inning. The Skunks started their comeback with a two-run sixth inning capped by a Hunter Williams RBI single.

Stramp finished the game 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and Levi Westerlund was 2-for-3 with two runs-batted-in to lead the Skunks. Joel Lutz, Silva and Taylor each drove in a pair of runs in the losing effort. Westerlund also picked up the win on the mound allowing one hit in 3.1 innings.

The Skunks overcame a 1-0 hole in the series winning games two and three to win the series.  The event closes out the fall baseball workouts for Lubbock Christian University.
