LUBBOCK, Texas (October 22, 2013) – Lubbock Christian finished the Bruce Williams Memorial Invitational in 12th place on Tuesday at the Dominion Country Club, carding a final score of 932. Jarred Jeter was the Chaps' highest finisher, tying for 23rd place after a three-round score of 224. His first round of 67 tied for the lowest score throughout all rounds of the tournament.
Niel DuPreez earned 40th place after shooting a 229, Facundo Garcia ended in 58th place with a score of 237, Blayne Street's score of 242 put him in a tie for 62nd, Austin Ammons tied for 68th with a score of 246 and Rusty Keneda finished in 73rd with a 255. As a team, the Chaps recorded 25 birdies and 142 pars throughout the invite.
Wayland Baptist took team honors in the 14-team field with a score of 874 and Western New Mexico ended in second place after turning in a score of 876. WBU's Anders Ellingsberg secured individual honors with a score of 212, and St. Edward's Dillon Van Essen finished in second place after shooting a 215 on the 72-par 6,937 yard course.
The invite wraps up the fall schedule for the Chaps, as they are back on the links February 17 and 18 at the San Antonio Shootout.
