SAN ANTONIO, Texas (October 21, 2013) – Lubbock Christian sits in 13th place following the second round of the Bruce Williams Memorial Invite at the Dominion Country Club. Jarred Jeter, the Chaps' top performer, stands in a tie for 15th place after carding a score of 146.
Jeter's first round score of 67 tied for best in the field of 75, but his second round performance of 79 pushed him back in the standings. Niel DuPreez turned in a score of 153 to tie for 42nd place, Facundo Garcia shot a 155 in a tie for 48th, Blayne Street tied for 66th after a score of 163, Austin Ammons shot a 166 to tie for 70th and Rusty Keneda ended in a tie for 73rd after scoring a 169.
Wayland Baptist and Western New Mexico lead the 14-team field with scores of 573. WBU's Anders Ellingsberg is holding onto first place after carding a score of 139, and WNMU's David Metz and St. Edward's Dillon Van Essen are tied for second with a score of 141.
The Chaps racked up 20 birdies and 95 pars on the 72-par, 6,937 yard course. LCU wraps up the two-day invitational tomorrow.
