CANYON, Texas (October 7, 2013) – Lubbock Christian University completed the first day of the 2013 Lady Buff Stampede with a team score of 346 and sits in 15th place. Shelbye Hill's round one score of 78 has her tied for sixth place in the field of 17.

Bailey Brown stands tied for 61st place after carding an 87, Savanna Stavinoha's 90 has her in 71st, Kelsey Garcia is positioned in a tie for 72nd with a score of 91, and April Torrez is tied for 77th after a shooting a 95.

CSU-Pueblo is in the lead after turning in a team score of 305, with Hee-Leina Kim leading all golfers with a first round score of 72. Midwestern State is in second place with a 313, Angelo State sits in third with a score of 319 and host West Texas A&M is in fourth place after shooting a 322.

Three teams in the field are ranked in the Golfstat rankings - Midwestern State is 13th, West Texas A&M at 19th and Angelo State at 21st
The rest of the field includes Adams State, Colorado Christian, Colorado-Colorado Springs, Colorado Mea, CSU -Pueblo, Metro State, Northwood (TX), Oklahoma Panhandle State, Regis, Rogers State, St. Mary's, Wayland Baptist and Western New Mexico.

The second round begins tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.
