LUBBOCK, Texas (June 25, 2013) – Lubbock Christian University women's soccer head coach Alex Denning has announced the schedule for the Lady Chaparrals 2013 season, and the season begins with an exhibition game against Colorado State University on Aug. 23 before the regular season kicks off Sept. 5, with the Lady Chaps hosting University of the Southwest (N.M.) at 2 p.m.

The contest against Colorado State will serve as the season opener and the first game in program history for the NCAA Div. I program, while serving as an exhibition game for the Lady Chaps. The Lady Chaps have 18 regular season games scheduled, with nine of the games scheduled for play at home. Nine games are scheduled for Heartland Conference play, with Oct. 7th serving as the Heartland opener at University of Texas of the Permian Basin.  The Lady Chaps, who open the season playing five of the first seven games at home, will only play four of their Heartland games at home this season. Following their Heartland opener in Odessa, Texas, the Lady Chaps will host St. Mary's (Texas) on Oct. 12 for their first conference home game. They will remain home Oct. 14 to host Texas A&M International before a four-game road trip. From Sept. 28 through Oct. 28, LCU will play seven of nine games on the road.

The season marks LCU's debut in the Heartland Conference.  LCU will have conference games count towards their record, but they are ineligible for conference and NCAA postseason as part of their transition from NAIA to the NCAA. The Lady Chaps were the final NAIA team to suffer a loss in the regular season last season and finished the season going 12-5-2.
