OKLAHOMA CITY (May 4, 2013) No.2 Lubbock Christian University has two chances at claiming their first Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament title Saturday at ASA Hall of Fame Complex, as they await a 5:30 p.m. championship game against an opponent yet to be decided.

If LCU wins the game, they claim their first tournament title, but if they lose, the same two teams will play a winner-take-all game thirty minutes after the completion of the first game.

LCU is 54-7 overall after beating Oklahoma Baptist University (6-4) and Oklahoma City University (5-1) in the first day of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament. The Lady Chaps lead the SAC in pitching only allowing 90 earned runs with a 1.69 ERA, while also leading the SAC with 606 hits and have a team batting average of .380. Katera Eltsosie is on top of the SAC with a 1.15 ERA while Megan Sullivan leads with a .459 batting average. Eltsosie also ranks fourth in the NAIA with 26 wins this season. Mallory Koschany continues to lead the NAIA in base running with 69 steal attempts, averaging 1.150 steals a game and has 65 stolen bases. The Lady Chaps continue to lead the NAIA in six different statistical categories. They have 237 stolen bases, 385 runs-batted-in, 446 runs scored, 606 hits, 4.297 steal attempts per game and 3.885 stolen bases per game to lead the NAIA.

LCU is 2-0 in the SAC Tournament after defeating Oklahoma Baptist 6-4 and Oklahoma City 5-1 in the opening day of play Friday.
