LUBBOCK, Texas (April 27, 2013) – No. 2 Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals will complete their 2013 regular season schedule with an doubleheader against University of the Southwest with first pitch at 1 p.m. from PlainsCapital Field. Saturday's games will also represent Senior Day for three Lady Chaps who will be honored. McKenzie Clemmons, Stephanie Rendon and Latainna Eltsosie will be participating in their last regular season home games this afternoon.

LCU is 50-7 overall and finished 22-2 in SAC play. The Lady Chaps lead the SAC in pitching only allowing 83 earned runs with a 1.69 ERA, while also leading the SAC with 570 hits and have a team batting average of .384. Katera Eltsosie is on top of the SAC with a 1.16 ERA while Megan Sullivan is ranked second with a .478 batting average. Mallory Koschany continues to lead the NAIA in base running with 64 steal attempts, averaging 1.123 steals a game and has 60 stolen bases. The Lady Chaps continue to lead the NAIA in six different statistical categories.

The Mustangs enter the contest on a four game win streak after sweeping Red River Conference opponent Langston (Okla.) in a three-game series to conclude their RRC schedule. They are 24-16 overall and 15-9 in RRC play. Natalie Ortiz leads USW with 33 hits batting .355, while Ciara Fraher has 19 runs-batted-in this season. Fraher also has an ERA of 1.81 and has 131 strike outs this season. She is ranked 23rd in innings pitched per game with 6.11.
