ARDMORE, Okla (April 22, 2013) – Lubbock Christian University senior Niel DuPreez fired rounds of 74 and 76 for a 150 score as he is tied for second place after two rounds of the 2013 Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships Monday. As a team, the Chaps are fifth heading into tomorrow's final round as they carded a 624score through the first 36-holes.

                                       

LCU's Nicolas Cornu is tied for 12th after firing a pair of 77 for a 154, while Leon Scheepers is in 18th after rounds of 80 and 78 for a 158. Chad Meador is 20th with a 162 (82 – 80) and Blayne Street is in a share of 23rd with a 163 score on rounds of 83 and 80.

 

Oklahoma City University leads the seven-team field with a 601 score on the par 72, 6,586-yard Dornick Hills Golf and Country Club. Wayland Baptist University is second with a 614 score, followed by Oklahoma Baptist University with a 616 team score. Rogers State University is fourth at 619, followed by LCU, Mid-America Christian University (698) and John Brown University (699).

 

OCU'sMichael Palmer leads the 35-player field with a 2-over 146 (74 – 72). Jacob Simon of OCU is in a share of second with LCU's DuPreez with a 6-over 150 (74 – 76).
